My journey as a Psychologist has been shaped by a deep passion for understanding people and helping them grow. Based in Mumbai suburb, I have spent over a decade walking alongside children, parents and educators, guiding them through challenges and celebrating their victories.
From an early age, I was fascinated by human emotions and the way our thoughts shape our lives. This curiosity eventually led me to pursue a career in psychology. Over the years, I’ve realized that life is full of crossroads where the right guidance at the right time can make all the difference. That belief has been at the heart of my work ever since.
The name Prachi means new beginnings, and I feel that reflects my purpose perfectly. In every counselling session, workshop or conversation, I strive to bring fresh perspectives and practical solutions, helping others see possibilities they may have missed. My approach is rooted in empathy, but it is also pragmatic. I believe in working together to create real, lasting change.
My Journey in Learning and Growth
My academic and professional journey has been dedicated to deepening my understanding of the human mind and behaviour. I hold an M.A. in Clinical Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and Nurturance of Giftedness.
To support my work with students and individuals, I became a Certified Global Career Counsellor (UCLA Extension) and earned a Green Belt Certification from Univariety. I am also a Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) Practitioner and a Remedial Educator, which allows me to address emotional as well as learning challenges with a holistic perspective.
Since 2011, I have been serving as a School Counsellor at a reputed institution, working closely with children and families to create supportive environments where every child can flourish.
Impact and Purpose
Over the years, I have facilitated numerous workshops, group sessions and counselling programs with the aim of helping students:
Build resilience and emotional intelligence
Develop confidence and self-awareness
Overcome learning and behavioural challenges
Discover their strengths and future career paths
Every interaction is a reminder of why I chose this path, to witness those beautiful moments of growth when a child finds their voice, a parent finds clarity, or a family finds hope.
Sanjeevita – Nurture & Thrive
My experiences and passion for mental health inspired me to create Sanjeevita – Nurture & Thrive, a counselling initiative close to my heart. Sanjeevita means “to bring to life,” and that’s exactly what I hope to do, help people reignite their inner strength and move forward with confidence.
Through Sanjeevita, I aim to provide a safe and nurturing space where individuals can find direction, healing, and empowerment. Whether it’s guiding a child through academic struggles or helping someone navigate emotional challenges, my mission is to ensure that no one feels alone on their journey.
Looking Ahead
As I continue to grow both personally and professionally, my commitment remains the same: to help individuals embrace their unique potential and create meaningful, fulfilling lives. Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference and I feel grateful to be part of so many inspiring journeys of transformation.
At Sanjeevita (Nurture & Thrive), we believe that every child deserves to feel understood, valued, and supported.
Our approach is not one-size-fits-all — instead, it is carefully designed around each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and potential.
We work collaboratively with families and educators to create supports that honour a child’s:
Pace – respecting their natural rhythm of learning and growth.
Interests – weaving in what excites and motivates them.
Sensitivities – ensuring that emotional and sensory needs are met with compassion.
By blending clinical expertise with a nurturing environment, we help children navigate academic, emotional, and behavioural challenges while giving parents and teachers the tools they need to support them meaningfully.
Our goal is simple: to empower children to thrive, while creating peace of mind for families and clarity for schools.
